Let me just die.
I'm tired.
I give up.
I can't take it any more.
Why me?
Nobody cares.
I'm a failure.
I can't make it.
If I die no one would notice.
It's all my fault.
These are a few out of the so many depressing and damaging statements people make to themselves before committing suicide or while depressed.
If you notice the words they are personalised- me, I and so on. This places such person in a self position.
It has become all about you. You feel no one is interested in you or you are alone. The weight seems to be pulling only on you...
That moment when the first nail got hammered into him, Christ would have felt a deep, never ending throbbing, brain splitting pain. He went through all that pain so you could live. He had horrible moments worse than any man has ever endured but he pulled through.
He is sitted at the right hand of God the Father because he never succumbed.
Next time when you feel low, be familiar with statements like.
The joy of the Lord is my strength.
I shall overcome.
For with God all things are possible.
Jesus loves me.
The Holy Spirit will comfort me.
I have the peace of Christ.
I will prosper and be in health.
If we give up or fear losing.... We wear out our faith. Faith is what keeps us alive.
